The number of unique accounts posting about a topic or asset — a measure of how broad a conversation is, not just how loud.

Social Contributors is the number of unique accounts posting about a topic or asset over a period. It answers a different question from mentions or engagement: not how many posts or interactions there were, but how many distinct people were behind them. A conversation driven by ten thousand unique contributors is structurally healthier and harder to manipulate than the same post count produced by a few dozen accounts. It is reported as num_contributors on the topic endpoint.
