## What is Galaxy Score?

## How is Galaxy Score calculated?

Galaxy Score™ blends multiple normalized inputs: social activity (the volume of public posts and interactions), sentiment (the engagement-weighted tone of those posts), and market momentum (price performance and trading activity). Each input is normalized so no single signal can swing the result on its own, then combined into one absolute 0–100 figure. Because every post is first spam-filtered, sentiment-scored, and creator-weighted, the score reflects cleaned activity rather than raw mention counts. As a guide: 70–100 is strong, 50–70 is healthy, 30–50 is mixed, and below 30 is weak.

## What is AltRank?

AltRank™ ranks an asset's combined social and price performance relative to every other asset LunarCrush tracks. Unlike Galaxy Score™, which is absolute, AltRank™ is relative — a lower number is stronger, so an asset at AltRank 1 is the top performer at that moment on the blend of social activity and price change. ## What is Social Volume?

Social Volume is the number of public posts mentioning an asset over a given period. A sudden jump in Social Volume often precedes or accompanies a price move, so it is an early read on where attention is flowing. Because LunarCrush filters spam and bots first, a spike reflects genuine human activity rather than scripted noise.

## What is Social Dominance?

Social Dominance is an asset's share of the total social conversation within its category. It normalizes Social Volume against the whole market, so you can compare attention fairly even on quiet days.
